What is LGBT Affirmative Therapy?

Although many of Laura's clients are not LGBT, she has additional training, and extensive experience in LGBT Affirmative Therapy. This is a form of psychotherapy that encourages clients to embrace and celebrate their sexual orientation. LGBT Affirmative Psychotherapy comes from an accepting, supportive place. An LGBT affirmative therapist will not simply compare your experience to a similar heterosexual situation, it will account for all of the unique factors that create an LGBT experience; and life. LGBT Affirmative Therapy is applicable to people of all ages that identify as LGBT, and serves as a wonderful complement to your overall therapeutic journey.
